Alex Bueno
Alex Bueno (born 6 September 1963 in San José de las Matas) is a singer and guitarist from the Dominican Republic, specializing in merengue and bachata music. He joined Gerardo Vera’s All-Stars in 1979 and formed Orquesta Liberación in 1982.
Alex Bueno began singing and playing guitar at a very young age. He moved from his native San José de Las Matas to Santo Domingo when he was a teenager, looking for a better chance to get involved in show business. In 1979, Bueno joined Gerardo Vera’s All-Stars, later recording a local hit called "Piel Canela" with Fernando Villalona. In 1982, Alex Bueno formed a tropical act called Orquesta Liberación, singing along with Andrés de Jesus. After issuing 1993’s ''Ternura'', the successful album ''Me Equivoqué'' was recorded and produced in 1995 by Jaime Querol and Manuel Tejada. Following 1999's ''Corazón Duro'' and ''Bachata A Su Tiempo'', Alex Bueno returned in 2001 with ''Unicamente Tú'', the title was based on a popular song composed by Felipe Pirela.
